Soulfingaz Memorial at Joe Mama's

Two days ago I had the opportunity to play somewhere I've always wanted to play: Joe Mama's. Unfortuantely the opportunity came up due to the tragic passing of David "Soulfingaz" Williams. I have never met him but his passing devastated so many people I care about in this community. Lori Nuic asked me and Craig to back her on the tune "Something's Gotta Give." This song is awesome and Soulfingaz had a lot to do with that. His piano playing on the CD version is "just right."

Here are some of the many great people I bumped into: Saidah Baba Talibah (who opened the night being her usual awesome self), Juwayon Clarke, Lori, Kibwe Thomas, Larnell Lewis and Calvin Beale.
