Something I Always Wanted To Do

As long as I've been playing I have always been kind of a lone traveler, a mercenary for hire so to speak. I pick up some people I trust along the way and we stick together. Though some of them may not last the entire run, some of them can really help you.

Because of the way the cards have been dealt, I have never really played in a band at any point. I am usually hired to learn original material and go from there. That's not a problem and I really enjoy it, but I usually tell people the one thing that has always escaped me was playing awesome rock songs in a band.

Until now ......

I will be subbing in on the weekend with the Red Light Customers at the Rose and Crown at Yonge and Eglinton. It should be a lot of fun for me and if it is I hope it leads to a couple more of these.

Ayah and DJ Jazzy Jeff Issue a FREE 5-Star Release.

So I just came off two great birthday gifts, and now I feel like a kid at Christmas time. Yesterday Ayah and DJ Jazzy Jeff released their long-awaited mix tape. For me it was a painfully long wait as I had already heard a handful of tracks and snippets from working with her in the past.

Now for the shortest review ever. It's FREE and it's awesome so don't be foolish and go download it. In my opinion this is one of the, if not the best project to ever come out by a Canadian female in this genre.

My New Niece

Though awesome bass gear makes for a great birthday, having a niece born on my birthday would have been the greatest present yet. Unfortunately Zoe came out a day short but I think I'm giving her the championship belt anyway, at the age of 0 days. Youngest champion ever.

My brother and his wife decided to go to Christina Anne Photography to get the pics done and they come out with this gem. I'm gonna have to say she looks just like her dad in his early 20's, passed out over an amplifier.
